Founded in 1930, SCHÖMA is a leading manufacturer of Tunnel Locomotives. Besides diesel and battery driven Tunnel Locomotives, SCHÖMA also offers a hybrid drive system. For tunnel gradients of up to approximately seven percent, SCHÖMA has developed a special drive system which guarantees the necessary traction and required braking performance even when the rails are in poor condition.
